In this episode we discuss the importance of getting out from behind the computer and building your business in other ways.  It is important to have the online component of your business set up, but it is also necessary to build it up in other ways, like getting out there and talking to people about it.  Tanya and Mike both give actionable examples of the various ways they build their business while out from behind the screen.

  • Launching a website
  • Creating an ebook
  • Hiring a graphic designer using upwork.com or 99designs.com
  • The importance of getting out from behind your computer and connecting with potential clients
  • Why building a website can be a distraction
  • Why you need to do the scary thing and the scary thing is putting yourself in a position for people to say no
  • Why you need to take some risk to get the reward
  • No doesn't always mean no. How to journey with a potential client/customer from NO to YES
  • How continuing to push through the NO is what makes you a successful entrepreneur
  • Shifting your thinking from, "Can you afford my service" to "can you afford NOT to have my service"
  • Help your potential buyer SEE the return they will get on your service
  • Talk about the benefits of the benefits when you speak about your service rather than the features

"If you're not putting yourself in a position for people to say no... you're also not putting yourself into a position for people to say yes!"

"If you believe in your business so much that you will do anything and continue through any no THAT is how you will be successful"
